THE APAWAMIS CLUB - Rye, NY

In keeping pace with the times, The Apawamis club initiated this project to expand and renovate their existing squash court building and pool facilities to maintain its reputation of having one of the finest squash programs in the country.
This project included a new 20,000 sf athletic facility consisting of squash courts, gym area, snack bar and pool facilities. TAS Engineering, PC provided engineering services for the design of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical and fire alarm systems and all new utility services.
JACOB BURNS FILM CENTER - Pleasantville, NY

The Jacob Burns Film Center is a nonprofit cultural arts center on the site of the former Rome Theater in Pleasantville, NY. The original 1925 theater has been renovated and expanded to create an 18,000 sf state-of-the-art facility with three theaters, a cafe, gallery/reception space and a library. Working in conjunction with Collado Engineering, PC, TAS Engineering, PC responsibilities included the HVAC systems design for this facility. The HVAC systems were designed in strict accordance with the acoustical consultants sound criteria
SILVERCUP STUDIOS EAST - Queens, NY
Client: Shalat Architects, P.C.
This project involved converting a former steel warehouse consisting of approximately 200,000 sf of space into five film and television production studios with support, storage, offices and dressing rooms. The complex was designed in the style of a Hollywood lot. Working in conjunction with Shalat Architects, PC, TAS Engineering, PC was responsible for designing the HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems for the facility.
Each studio was given individual electrical, and HVAC systems so that they could operate independently of each other. The facility was upgraded with a new 6,000 amp. electric service and all new HVAC and smoke purge systems. The studios opened successfully and have been used for the production of various television series, movies and commercials.
