Columbia University is one of the top academic and research institutions in the world, conducting path-breaking research in medicine, science, the arts and humanities. TAS Engineering, PC was selected by Columbia University to provide HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical and fire alarm engineering services for the fast-track construction of two research laboratories.
ROCHDALE VILLAGE CENTRAL PLANT - Queens, NY
Client: Rochdale Village, Inc.
Rochdale Village located in Jamaica, Queens is a housing complex consisting of 20 high-rise buildings with a population of approximately 30,000 people. Electricity, heating and cooling is provided by a central power plant.
TAS Engineering, PC has provided engineering services for a variety of projects at Rochdale Village including:

Replacement of 80'-0" high, 6'-0" diameter boiler stacks.

JEWELRY MANUFACTURING FACILITY - New York, NY

A high end jewelry retailer needed a new and greatly expanded manufacturing facility in the heart of NYC. Finding suitable space in a high-rise commercial building, all new MEP systems were required. TAS Engineering, PC provided MEP engineering services for the design of new HVAC, electrical, plumbing, sprinkler and fire alarm systems for this 8500 sf facility. The systems included high pressure natural gas, compressed air, oxygen generator, hood exhaust system, dust collection system with explosion protection, gas detection and a pre-action fire protection system.
